Facsimile copy of sworn testimony of Lindsey W. Crayton, wife of E.W. Crayton, concerning the existence of the "Old Canal".  The canal connected Naples Bay with the Gulf of Mexico and was filled in by Mr. Crayton in 1934.  Ms. Crayton refers to the two legends of the "Old Canal": it was created by pirates for hiding and escaping; and it was dug by Indians before the Seminole Wars.

Recorded in OR Book 19 Page 291 on January 21, 1958 by the Collier County Circuit Court.
