Collier County Sheriff Aubrey Rogers served from 1975 until 1989. He joined the CCSO in 1957 from the Ft. Myers Police Department where he had met Doug Hendry. When Hendry resigned due to illness in 1975, Rogers was appointed to complete his term of office. Rogers ran for Sheriff and won three more elections until he retired.
