Former weather tower used as a control tower at Naples Airport from 1983-93.  The old weather station from Kansas had finally arrived at Naples Airport in late 1983.  Perched on top of the newly constructed concrete pad, located in the north quadrant of the airport, east of runway 13/31. the box-shaped, white object would become the first air traffic control tower since the Army's control tower was torn down after the war (World War II).  During the pre-dawn hours, fog would often condense on the outsides of the tower's wrap around windows...not a good thing when attempting to spot planes.
