The luxurious, four-story Bahama Club on Gulfshore Boulevard opened on January 4, 1957 as Naples' first "co-operative" apartment building. Facing directly onto the Gulf, its 36 units offered a choice of four different floor plans with prices starting at $31,000. The building sold out almost immediately.
