Aerial view of the Naples Airport, September 1980, nine months after John Van Arsdale, Sr. stepped down as head of Naples Airlines and Provincetown-Boston Airline.  As the airport's chief occupant, Van Arsdale had overseen all aircraft rentals, maintenance, flight instruction, and fuel sales.  In 1969, the city appointed a five-member board, the Naples Airport Authority, to manage and operate the airport.
