Ed Crayton sold 220 acres to Allen Joslin in 1930 to build the Beach Club Golf Course and Hotel.  This clubhouse, seen here from late 1931, is on the site now occupied by the Beach Club Hotel.  There was a ladies locker room, mens locker room and a cocktail bar lounge on the first floor.  On the second floor, there was a large room used for meetings and dancing.
